Marcus Eaton

Eaton, Marcus S. "Marc" 30, of Kenosha, WI, died suddenly August 20. Born April 9, 1984 in Madison, WI to Patricia and Steven Eaton. Marc graduated from Warren Township High School in Gurnee, IL in 2002 and received his Baccalaureate Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2008. Marc was a professional musician whose interest in music began at a very early age. By the time he celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at age 13 in Gurnee, IL, he could perform and arrange a perfect drum solo for his family and friends. Marc played drums with many local and regional musicians in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Chicago, and throughout the Midwest. Marc also was a music teacher in Kenosha, where he lived. Marc joined the band Asparagii and took the band to new heights until the untimely death of best friend and band leader, Jay Bielarczyk, in January. Marc organized and co-founded Kenosha's Log Jam music festival and was in the process of organizing another concert/fundraiser to benefit Jay's daughter, Cassidy on September 6, 2014. Marc loved children and took great pride in the success of his many students. He loved attending music concerts and tried to never miss Phish, Umphreys McGee, or Little Feat when they came through the Midwest. Marc leaves behind hundreds of fans, friends, and family who were in awe of his musical talent, his inspirational teaching, and his energy on stage. Marc was predeceased by his grandfathers, Dr. Franklin N. Dukerschein of Oregon, WI, and Alan N. Eaton of Lady Lake, FL. Marc is survived by his grandmothers, Margaret Dukerschein of Oregon, WI and Lenore R. Eaton of Lady Lake, FL; his sisters, Katelyn Eaton of Madison and Nicole London of Chicago; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large extended family from all over the world. He will truly be missed. Chapel service 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 27th at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
