The leadership and skill he showed in the 98 FSU victory over UF will forever be a standout memory in Seminole football.

Conrad and I so enjoyed the time spent with Marcus and the family during his years at FSU. Our memories go back to the years he and Jarad played on opposing teams high school. Then, they became teammates at FSU. The Quarterback and his Center. It was such a thrill when he got his first opportunity to start at QB, won the game, went on to beat Florida and took us to the BCS championship in Tempe. When there were disappointments over the years, Marcus could always be seen with a smile and and air of confidence. I am sure that his life has left an impact on so many people. I know this because, although it has been many years since we last saw Marcus, we felt his loss deeply. You are all held in our prayers.

I remember meeting Marcus outside of Gingers in Jax Beach, and he was nice enough to take a picture with a start struck Noles fan. I then got to know he and his lovely wife Tara as they stayed at the hotel I worked at on Jax Beach as well. I remember giving my FSU bracelet to his young son, and the appreciation he showed was amazing. Marcus was a great guy! Tara and family, I am so sorry for your loss. May God bring you comfort and peace, and mayball the kind words about Marcus fill your hearts with just how great of a man he truly was!

As Taylors Uncle and ur families being such amazing friends, I gotta love ya...Even becaming a legend beating my Gators and leading the Noles to the Natl. Champ. game, doesn't change that.
You are a sport and a life well lived. Gone to soon, but made ur mark, and will be long remembered and loved. God Bless Rooster.

Marcus was one of the kindest, most humble, and coachable people I´ve ever had the pleasure to manage. He was an outstanding human being, teammate, friend, dad, and husband. He was a pleasure to be around. There are so many fond memories with Marcus. One thing was clear - the most important thing to him in his life was his family. He was so proud of you all, and wanted to talk about you all of the time! I personally feel blessed to have had him in my life, as we can all learn so much from him. He was funny and as hard as he worked, he always had a great balance in his life for everything else he was passionate about too - his family, friends, and sports. May his spirit and passion for life and for helping cancer patients carry on. I will miss him greatly, and sending your family love and prayers during this difficult time. God bless you all.

Shocked and saddened by your departure, Marcus. I enjoyed our days at FWBHS - so many memories bro. From jamming guitars in your room, grabbing rides in your ridiculously fast Mustang GT, catching (and sometimes dropping) your laser beam passes on the football field, winning all those playoff games and taking the title against Dixie Hollins. You made my childhood amazing in so many ways. I will always remember your confidence as a leader and your competitive spirit in everything you did. Prayers lifted up for your beautiful family. I´m thankful and blessed to have known you and call you a teammate and friend.

I can remember very vividly the first time I ever met Marcus Outsen it was in Fort Walton Beach in a little league baseball game at Bryn Mawr Park. I was in the batters box and he was on the pitchers mound. If you could imagine, I look like Squints from the Sandot without glasses in the batters box and Marcus, towering like a Greek red headed mullet God, hurling lightning bolts from his arm. As you could imagine I went 1-3 that day with two strike outs it didn´t go well. Luckily the next season we were drafted on the same team by the greatest little coach of all time, Colin Ohara. Moved to catcher by Colin sparked a relationship that lasted forever and being on his team built a confidence in me that lasted a lifetime. I can still to this day remember the crack the catchers mitt made as Marcus pitched. Thanks For all the great memories!
