To my Aunt Dorothy, my cousins, Chandra, Darrick, and Marcelle. I grieve and rejoice with you at the same time. Marcus fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith. Marcelle, thank you for allowing me to say good-bye to Marcus before he transitioned to Glory. Marcus called me his big brother and I called him my baby brother. Marcus stepped in and volunteered to be my sister Sharon and my baby brother when our brother Jeffrey went home to Glory almost three-years ago. He stated God laid it upon his heart to do that. This helped to fill the empty void in our hearts. Marcus would check on us regularly, even with all the pain and suffering he was going through. This was the type of man Elder Roberson was, Christ-like and selfless. He was also a great storyteller like his father Titus Roberson Jr. Marcus´s tall-tells would have you laughing until your stomach hurts. Although Elder Roberson spent his latter days in hospital care, i believe God used him to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to numerous medical staff who were non-believers. Now he is at rest because God said, "Well done my good and faithful servant, well done."

Elder Marcus, became a close dear friend to my husband, we met him at Harris Memorial COGIC, in Burton, MI through Bishop W. E. Bogan, Sr. Elder Marcus was humorous, loving and kind hearted, a giving and caring man in the Lord. Walter and Marcus could talk for hours, laughing and yes a little gossiping and even in that it was because he passionately cared about his family, friends and the people of God. He always asked about me, checking to see if I was well and doing good in ministry. We talked on many occasions, broke bread together. He moved, and then we relocated, but he and Walter kept in touch, and yes, on the phone for hours at a time talking about church, ministry and family. Elder Marcus D. Roberson fought a good fight, he kept the faith and we will greatly miss him and his bright welcoming smile!
Our earnest condolences to the Roberson Family! It is my prayer that the grace of God keep your hearts, minds and may your days be filled with the precious memories about Marcus and a life well lived!

Marcus and I were the same age, he was older by a couple of months. He was a boy, so most of my time was with Chandra. But, we grew up together like cousins. Time and distance has separated us, but his absence still has impact on our lives. Praying for the family.
