Marcy and I were friends in middle school. I have fond memories of times at the Taub ranch, riding and shooting, and of fishing in the Gulf. After Marcy’s mom died, Mr. Taub kindly included me in a family trip via train to Chicago, then NYC. We got into some mischief but also knew we’d better pay attention since Mr. Taub quizzed us at dinner on what we’d learned that day. The last stop on the trip was West Hartford, CT to visit the Joseloffs. Coincidentally, I now live in West Hartford. When I visit the University of Hartford campus, I see the Carol Joseloff Taub Hall, which is the Art building, and think of the Taubs. (The Taub philanthropy extends well beyond Houston). I have warm memories of Marcy and her brothers and of Mr. Taub and appreciate their kindness and generosity. My condolences to Kitchie and to Marcy’s children and husband.

My sincere condolences to her family including Mr. Kitchie Taub. I attended SMU with her over 40 years ago and she left an indelible impression on me as someone who would accomplish much in her lifetime. That is clearly borne out by her obituary. Marcy excelled at everything she did. She was an incredible athlete and high achieving student. As a friend, she was fun-loving and extremely generous. She will be missed by many people.
Sincerely,
Karen Cole Currin

WOW!!
I first met Marcy in the late 70's as an immigrant and aspiring tennis player from Nigeria. Marcy accepted me and my friend Phillip as though we were members of her family...regardless of our race /religion. We often played tennis at Houston City club.
she had formidable topspin forehand and very agile.
She was very unselfish and overly benevolent just like her dad (Mr H Taub)
Her passion for the game was indicative of how she lived - Passion and love for her family and fellow men. A heartfelt loss for all of us. Shalom

It saddens me to hear about Marcy's sudden passing. I will miss Marcy and she will be missed by many. She was a skilled athlete, played a solid game of tennis and she was also an avid skier. Very recently she sent me a photo of her very handsome son as we all know she adores him. Marcy and I shared fun times, playing tennis, skiing in Aspen. We had many laughs together. I remember the excitement she had when she was preparing for her wedding. Those are special memories I have of her. She was a very unselfish person and she shared easily with those she trusted. I am still shocked by the news. God bless her always. With respect and deepest sympathy to her brother, her husband, and her dear son.

Marcy was an incredible person. She had a fantastic 'can do' attitude. Always upbeat and positive, she was also sweet and kind.

The family's decision to have a private funeral service was likely based on health considerations amid the current pandemic. And there probably isn't a temple in town that would have been big enough to accomodate all of her friends.

May her memory be a blessing...

What a great loss for the city of Houston. Marci was a generous and kind person who always had something nice to say. She carried on her family legacy with thoughtfulness and determination, deeply committed to the betterment of the community. I only knew Marci in passing as we both shared a common bond through, and love for, Lina. My deepest sympathies to the family and I will add Marci in my prayers.

I am so saddened by her passing. One of my best memories is when I had the pleasure of working on her tennis game and playing tournaments with her all over Texas. Her passion for the game was indicative of how she lived - Passion and love for her family and fellow men. A heartfelt loss for all of us. My prayers and thoughts to her family.

Marcy Taub was a highly refined friend with great artistic and cultural sensibilities and a wonderful ambassador for her beloved family and native Houston. Marcy’s Dad, Mr. Henry J. N. Taub, and my Dad were great friends growing up, and used to go out on one of the Taub's properties to rope and ride wild mustangs... bareback... for fun! Her brother H. Ben Taub was the governor of the Texas polo association and my sponsor to the U.S. Polo Association. My sympathies and condolences to Marcy’s entire family. Tragic loss.
