I love you mom. I miss you dearly and think of all the teachings over our lifetime. You have taught me to love the Lord and trust in Him.

You never gave up...on anything...you never stopped believing in us...you never stopped giving. You loved all. You never stopped smiling no matter how much suffering you endured.

I had the privilege of speaking with Gene last week. I am shocked to hear of this sad news. I will miss our chats and comradery we shared. She was a precious soul. My condolences to her family and many many friends gene had during her remarkable life. She was a real go getter and a human being. I will remember you often my friend. Our God and savior will take care of you now. Rest well dear Gene.

Saddened to hear this unexpected news. Gene was such a remarkable lady and always considerate of others, a very dedicated lady both in her professional and personal life. Acknowledgement of others special occasions was a priority for Gene. She even orchestrated and delivered her own retirement party with class. As many others, I will miss this lady and strive to incorporate a little more of Genie's influence into my life. God bless.

I will miss my dear CRNA friend of 30++ years. I was fortunate to share unforgettable memories with her through the years, working together as well as just being there for her and visa versa. I was fortunate to have had lunch with her recently and enjoyed our visit together, She was a SPECIAL person and one of a kind. My prayers and thoughts are with the family during this time of sorrow. To all of the family of Gene Yi, Gene was a wonderful lady that I had the pleasure of knowing over 25 years as a fellow CRNA. She was kind, considerate, and very cheerful as she lit up any room she entered with her infectious smile and upbeat personality. I was a speaker in several of her Southwestern Anesthesia Seminar meetings in Europe, China, and Grand Cayman...among others. I then met her son, Andy and his wife Lori and their children when Andy attended my anesthesia program at The University of Akron. Gene came to Akron for his graduation and we had a wonderful reunion. I will miss her dearly, but know that she has gone to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior.... where she will meet my mother who left these earthly bonds in 2007. Most sincere condolences to Andy, Lori, their children and all of the family. You will be blessed with wonderful memories of your beautiful mother and grandmother.
