Margaret "Peggy" Eleanor Chariott Anderson,96, lifelong Norwalk & Rowayton Resident and wife of the late Frederick Anderson, passed away on December 22, 2024.



Peggy was born in Norwalk on December 21, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Kathryn M. (Sculley) Chariott. Peggy attended St Joseph's School, graduated from Norwalk High School and Norwalk Hospital's School of Nursing.



Peggy was a long time RN at Norwalk Hospital and then Nash Engineering where she met the love of her life, Fred.



Peggy enjoyed her time at the beach, going out on their boat, the family beach house in Madison, CT, traveling, daily walks in her Rowayton neighborhood and feeding the birds.



She looked forward to the annual Easter Egg Hunts, Easter and New Year's Day celebrations at her and Fred's home, with the whole family, whom she loved dearly.



She is survived by her sisters Ann Willigan, Alyse "Lee" Benincaso and Judith DiMeglio all of Norwalk, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased her siblings Kathryn Stewart, Jean Garfunkel, Claire Odierno, Anthony Chariott and William Chariott.



On Saturday Jan. 18, 2025 a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St Ansonia, CT with the Reverend Dominic Thomas officiating visitation will continue to 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

I knew Peggy when I was a little girl. My parents (Tom and Betty Kelly), my brother, Marty, and I lived next door to the Chariotts on Concord Street. Please accept my sincere condolences. Peggy was one of a kind. Sending blessings and peace to all.
