Margaret M. Baumgartner, 95, of Warsaw, and formerly of rural Mentone, passed at 4:50 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at Miller's Merry Manor of Warsaw.
Margaret was born on Nov. 24, 1927 in Defiance, Ohio, to the late Frank and Hattie (Thomas) Relue. She graduated from Defiance High School in 1945. She was married on Feb. 16, 1947, in Defiance, to W. Wayne Baumgartner, who preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2010.
She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She was a member of the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. She had also been a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge. Margaret collected vases of all kinds and enjoyed gardening, traveling, solving puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles. She also collected many different hummingbird pieces. She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Palmetto, Fla.
She is survived by her daughters Carol and husband Bill Sisk of Claypool and Virginia Tuttle of Rochester Hills, Mich.; daughter-in-law Debbie Baumgartner of Mentone; grandchildren Jack Sisk, Lori Price, Paula Olson, Shari Rudd, Ryan Baumgartner, and Dane Harmon; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild due in May; 4 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty and husband Paul Lehman of Holland, Ohio.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, son Jerry Baumgartner, granddaughter Diane Harmon, son-in-law Jim Tuttle, brother Rudy, and sisters Mildred and Evelyn.
The funeral service will take place at 12 noon, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, Indiana, with Pastor Butch Troke officiating.
The interment will take place following the service in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Visitation hours will be 10 a.m.- noon Saturday, April 29, 2023 at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Beaver Dam UMC for Wheels on Fire.

Sorry for your loss. I still remember the times our families would get together. The adults playing cards and us kids playing games in the yard. Suppers together, home made ice cream, etc.
