Peggy left this world such a better place. Her dedication to family, friends and a world of people she never met, however touched their lives, all of us were blessed. As a new Rotarian she was a wonderful mentor and friend. Nineteen years of knowing Peggy and Burnham the memories are always smiles.

I came to know Peggy while she was active with the USTA Florida Foundation. During the Annual Meeting Weekend we scheduled early morning walks and I learned of her passion for travel, service to others and mostly her devotion to family. I'll miss Peggy's vibrant spirit.

We will always remember Peggy and cherish the times we spent with her. She was such a gracious and kind lady with energy beyond words! We loved the stories she would tell whether about her family, her travels or her time in the world of tennis. She will be missed by many.

Sharon and I were fortunate to know Peggy and Burnham and to travel with them to local and distant lands. They were always a pleasure to travel with and to explore new experiences
My memories also include the many hours we spent together at Committee meetings and doing special projects--Peggy always had time or would make the time to assist others with her skills and unique abilities. The Tennis Industry will miss her unique abilities to get the job done!
May the Good Lord Bless her!

Peggy you will be so missed. Twenty-seven years ago, my husband Marc found a small space to rent from you and Burnham, sharing the back space of Welch Tennis. I was pregnant with my second son and you gave us the opportunity to be close to home as we worked to grow our business. Peggy, you have been my mentor and friend for many years sharing so many stories, ideas and teaching me in your gentle guiding way. I will miss your visits and our chats. Love, Maina and Marc Kron

We are remembering the smiles as Peggy and Burnham prepared the "Morning Mist" for their adventure. We enjoyed hearing their experiences, both the good and the anxious times. We are happy we were able to be around her positive energy and know she will be missed by so many.

Peggy and I became acquainted when we were both members of the St Petersburg West Rotary. Later my husband, Mike, and I bought a home down the street from Burnham and Peggy. I was blessed to be able to spend a short time with Peggy a few weeks ago. She was that day, as she has always been a very strong, caring person. Her conversation that day was not about herself---it was about the love she had for her husband, and the concern for her Family. We have all been blessed to have Peggy in our lives.

I was so fortunate to meet Peggy when we both served on the Board of Directors of the USTA Florida Foundation. Our meeting was one of those "meant to be" happenings, especially when we found out that we were sisters...members of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Our friendship was strengthened by our bond of sisterhood and we spent many wonderful times together reminiscing about our sorority days. There are a number of Zetas in Peggy's family so we are all bonded. Peggy was a guiding force in my growth as a volunteer with USTA and I will be eternally grateful that she was part of my life. Even with her illness, she traveled to Orlando in November of 2013 to the USTA FL Annual Meeting so she could be with me when I accepted the Merit Award from USTA FL. Her presence made that award even more meaningful and I was so honored that Peggy was there. My husband and I so enjoyed spending time at USTA meetings with Peggy and Burnham and we cherish the memories of the visit we had with them in Dade City. Peggy, I miss you and know that you have a special place in Heaven. You will always serve as an example of all that is good, kind, strong yet gentle and successful in one's personal and professional life. With Zeta love and mine, Judy
The most beautiful person and best Mother-in law I could have ever hoped for. I have learned many lessons from the way you loved and ived your life.

Peggy was, and continues to be an inspiration to all who knew her. Warm, friendly, extremely knowledgeable. The consummate professional! but most of all she always had time to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. My thoughts and prayers go out to Peggy and her family.

Although I didn't know Peggy very well, her contribution to our tennis construction industry and dedication to the ASBA is legendary. It has been a privledge to be a part of an association in which her spirit will forever be present. May you rest in peace and let others learn from your courageous and adventurous spirit!

Knowing Peggy Beard was a blessing in my life. I had the privilege of meeting her through Florida Tennis and served with her on the Florida Foundation Board. She taught me more about the construction of tennis courts than anyone in the business. But what I will remember most is her gentle, caring, and kind way of dealing with everyone she met. She showed me how to live a life with compassion and knowledge and she made the world a better place. May you rest in peace my friend. Jean Mills

Peggy and I were best of friends thru high school and beyond. I enjoyed visiting her in Florida when we were in the Villages and in Greencastle when she was at the farm. She was always upbeat about her health problems. I will truly miss our visits. I am truly amazed at all she accomplished in her life ,her world travels and in the tennis world. She was one of a kind.
