I will always have many fond memories of Grandma Berweger .....from her baking to her flowers .....to making us clothes for our Barbies. She was a wonderful Grandmother.

My sister and I just found out about Aunt Marge's passing. I remember her with love and am happy she was able to join the big family reunion on the other side. Our mother got there first, the Monday after Thanksgiving, but I am sure they are catching up!

I regret that I could not join my family at Aunt Margaret's funeral. She was younger sister to my father, John Mattis. I last saw her when she visited us in California over 20 yrs ago.

I remember visiting Aunt Margaret in Meadowlands a number of times when I was quite young. I stayed overnight a few times in the living area attached to the rear cheese factory. I remember the many violets Aunt Margaret used to grow, and that she baked delicious pies. I regret that I was unable to attend the funeral, but the family (many of whom I have never met) have been in my thoughts and prayers.

When I remember Grandma B I will think about the time spent at their place set back in the woods in Canyon. It was where I learned to enjoy exploring the woods, playing cards and how to fake eating my boiled cabbage in order to get a banana split for dessert. I can still smell the pine trees, Grandmas blueberry pie, her fresh sheets, and the rose shaped soaps in the bathrooom. Being quite a handful as a tyke I spent a lot of time at Grandmas and she always made me feel special and loved. We will all miss you Grams. Love you lots.

I will always remember Grandma and her baking ...... when not for one of the family then for at least the dog! Also have the physical memories in the wonderful afghans she has made for me! My family will always have fond memories of our times together. She, as does Grandpa, will live forever in our hearts.

I'll always remember Grandma for her loving & patient warm heart, warm cookies, a warm cozy fire in the stove and for her warm "Oh Aaaal"s to Grandpa. May they together be smiling down on us all.

Mostly what I remember about Grandma Berweger is good times spent at their house in Canyon, the house behind the old Cheese Mart. I loved to hear the semi trucks travelling by on Highway 53 at night, loved that old double swing on the back patio, the many doors in and out of that interesting house, the harsh weather in summer and winter and Grandma's holiday dinners in the dining room.
Also I am grateful for the time Grandma and Grampa both spent with us Nygaard kids, divided up into manageable groups, of course. Camping and travelling, staying overnight and who can forget the blueberry picking marathons in the hot swampy humid prickly mosquito infested boggy blueberry patches. Love you Gram!
