Margaret Borden

Margaret Borden, age 81, of Broadview, NM, passed away on October 17, 2013, at Farwell Care and Rehab in Farwell, TX.
Margaret was born on January 21, 1932, to Virgil and Myra (Boyd) Corcoran in Seagoville, TX. When she was ten years old, she went to live at the Buckner Children's Home. She met her future husband at Wayland Baptist University. She married Truett Morgan Borden on May 30, 1952, in Plainview, TX. After she married, her and her husband farmed and ranched in the Grady-Broadview area for forty-three years. She was very active in the Grady Baptist Church where she was the church organist for over thirty years. Margaret also taught Sunday School, GA's, and loved to be involved in Vacation Bible School and Church Camps. She was a member of Glory Choir at Central Baptist Church and the choir at Grady Baptist. Margaret loved music and she loved to sing.
She is survived by two sons: Walter Borden of Broadview, NM and Phillip (Jennifer) Borden of Grady, NM; one daughter: Rachel (Brent) Armstrong of Broadview, NM; daughters-in law: Deborah Borden of Clovis, NM and Lou Borden of Turlock, California; grandchildren: Candice Weaver, Kimberly Davy, Kristen Chastine, Aaron Borden, John Borden, Mia Love, Skeete Armstrong, Chantry Borden and Morgan Borden and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truett; two sons: George and Kim; one sister Louise and three brothers: Charlie, Billy and Leonard.
Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013, at Grady Baptist Church in Grady, NM with Rev. Paul Burwash officiating. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery in Grady, NM. Casket bearers are Chad Weaver, Chantry Borden, Aaron Borden, Skeete Armstrong, Lane Grau, Wade Edwards and Wesley Jones, Honorary casket bearers are Marion Ware, Wallace Fraser, Allen Edwards and Jerry Dean Isler.
