Peggy Burridge was my neighbor and dear friend. She was also Godmother to my daughter Beth. Her husband, George, Beth's Godfather, and my husband Fred flew Navy A6 Intruders over Viet Nam when the war was hot in the 1960's. We took care of each other, shared dinners and many good times at parties, Intruder Balls and coffee hours. One time, when George was deployed and Fred was at home, Peggy got stuck on her roof while trying to repair something. Their children came running to our house and asked Fred to help get their mother off the roof! We Navy wives tried to do everything while our husbands were deployed, while constantly praying they would return safely.

What a loss. Having known here for 55 years it was a shock to hear of her passing. We are on the wrong coast to to keep up with the East, but we will dearly miss her vitality, cheerfulness and good thoughts. She always hosted me/us when in Virginia Beach.

Condolences dear friends. I will genuinely miss my late nights with Silverfoot at the Round Table. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to encounter and have known, even for only a few years, such a wonderful spirit.
