MARGARET A.
Age 87, of Bethel Park, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014, after a long battle with ALS. Wife of the late Thomas M.; loving mother of Thomas (Jennifer) Calano, Jr., Christopher (Sandy Rodriguez) Calano, and Trina (Donald) Best; cherished grandmother of Sarah (Nate) Rutman, Katie Calano, Rebekah Calano, Thomas Calano III, Wyatt Best, and Nicholas Calano; great- grandmother of Sadie and Judah Rutman; sister of Tom Polito, Patty (Carl) Moeller and the late Nicholas (surviving wife, Josephine) Polito. Family and friends received Sunday, December 28, 2014, from 2-7 p.m. at PAUL L. HENNEY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park, where funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Margaret worked at Bethel Park Library for over 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, and always enjoyed a good meal. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the 3rd floor of Bethel Park Manor Care and Iva Mae Collier for their devoted care of Margaret. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her memory may be made to ALS Chapter of Western PA, 416 Lincoln Ave., Pgh., PA 15209.

Dear Tom, Chris, Trina and Families,
Such wonderful memories I have of growing up on Boxer Drive,(despite the teasing Tommy bestowed on us and the treacherous rides in Chris' paper wagon) hanging around your house, with your mom and her big smile in the midst of it all. I remember her most often in her apron with a dishtowel over her shoulder that she playfully flicked at the boys from time to time. She was such a kind and great lady. I love the line in the obit about the meals! Your house always smelled wonderful.
I am sure she is at peace now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She lives on in each one of you.

Marge was always smiling and full of life.
She always looked forward to Palm Sunday when
I would braid the palm and place in her door wreath. one year i almost forgot and she knocked on my door to remind me !
