Loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother

Margaret (Peggy) M. Coffey, age 86, of Annandale, NJ, died Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ.



Born in Orange, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Murphy. Peggy lived in Chatham before moving to Annandale 20 years ago.



She was an Executive Assistant, employed by Automatic Switch Company in Florham Park for most of her career.



Peggy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. She brought love and kindness to so many as the Sunshine Committee for Hunterdon Cardiac Rehabilitation Center for years. She greatly enjoyed reading, but her greatest passion was her family. She lived for her children and grandchildren as their beloved Mimi.



She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Coffey, who died in 1994.



Peggy is survived by her loving daughters, Carolyn Schneck and her husband, Dave, of Basking Ridge and Nancy Perrine and her husband, Ed, of Wayne. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Gabe Schneck and his wife Taylor, Lindsey Anderson and her fiance, Erik Higginbotham, Paige Anderson and her fiance, Tommy Wehrkamp, Kyle Perrine and Haley Perrine, her great-granddaughter, Emma Schneck and her dear sister, Patricia Hughes and her husband, John and their children.



Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ.



A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale.



Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.



The family welcomes donations to South Branch Emergency Services in Clinton, NJ as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
