Margaret Edwards

Margaret G. Edwards, 90, of Balm St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Spring Creek Nursing and Rehab. Center.
She was born in Lynchburg, VA, daughter of the late Warren and Lucille (Parks) Jones, a graduate of the former Carolyn Desmond Beauty School from where she earned her Cosmetology Operator's and Teacher's Licenses, retired from the PA Dept. of Revenue, where she was a Union Representative and Vice-President, a member of Harris A. M. E. Zion Church, where she served as a Stewardess and with the Pulpit Committee. In the community, she was a Dauphin County Committee Woman and in her leisure, enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening, visiting relatives & friends in other states and doing crossword puzzles.
Margaret leaves to celebrate her life, her son, Dace L. Edwards (Gina) of Fredericksburg, VA; her daughters, Shevolkia L. Holland (William) of New Cumberland and Geneace R. Vaughn (Larry) of Harrisburg; her, stepson, Michael Edwards (Janice) of Raleigh, NC; her stepdaughter, Susan Hines of New York, NY; her 32 grandchildren; 50 (plus) great grands; seven great-great grands and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Her life will be celebrated on Friday, December 19 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing from 10 until 11 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
