Margaret A. Ellison, R.N., Dedicated professional, loving mother and true friend passed away on Valentine's Day (February 14, 2009) following a brief illness. A registered nurse for 40 years, Margaret served admirably in her duties as a caring medical professional at Memorial Hospital and later at Thunder bird Skilled Nursing Facility. A Texas native, "Miss Margaret" - as she was lovingly called-was married to Sammy D. Ellison for 56 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Sammy D. Ellison, eldest son Samuel H. Ellison, parents H. G. & Leauna Norman, brothers Arthur Lee Norman & Henry Granville Norman & sister Mary Elizabeth Norman-Cox. She leaves her children Kedrick & Deborah Ellison, brother Richmond James Norman (Calif.) & a host of relatives & friends. The family wishes to thank nieces Wilma Jean Ecles & Henrietta Norman Brown, daughter-in-law Maria Martinez (Samuel), granddaughter Belinda Martinez, great-granddaughter Sara Jessica Turner, St. Luke's Admissions and ICU division, Harold Cox (Boston), Donald Cox (Texas), Rev. and Mrs. Paul (Frankie) Williams and family, Pastor Elizabeth White & family, Mr.& Mrs. William (Polly) Longo. Memorial visitation: Monday February 23, 2009, 3-7pm. Eastlake Mortuary, 1715 E. Jefferson, in Phoenix. Deborah, I am so sorry to hear that Ms. Margaret has passed. Your mom was a beautiful, kind and compassionate person. She cared for my grandmother for so long at Thunderbird Health Care. We so loved her. May god bless you and keep you through these trying times. I pray that you and your family find peace knowing that she is with the lord.
