Margaret Ann "Maggie" Granger, 63, passed away after a brave and lengthy battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia on February 14, 2025. She was born in Atlanta, GA on October 8, 1961 in Georgia Baptist Hospital.

Maggie touched many hearts with her infectious smile, love of life, and personality, which can be summed up in one of her favorite sayings: "Bubbles make everything better." She was also an adept guitarist with a singing voice as pretty as her smile. Her greatest joys came from her two children, her soul mate, Douglas, whom she traveled the world with, and watching her beloved Georgia Bulldogs and Green Bay Packers play. She married Douglas in the Caribbean on Christmas Day, 2008, and they shared many wonderful years in Jacksonville Beach.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Grady Lewis and Evelyn (Chester) Lewis; her brothers, Richard Lewis, Ralph Lewis, and Neil Lewis; her daughter, Sara-Beth Dawson; and her son, Jesse Cole Dawson. Maggie is survived by her husband, Douglas Granger, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; her sister, Ramona (Lewis) Daniels, of Stratham, Georgia; her brother, Eddie Lewis, of Zebulon, Georgia; and many nephews, nieces, and friends from around the country, including her childhood friend Amber Rowland. During her last few days, Maggie was surrounded by her husband and her closest Jax Beach area friends, Zee Durbz, and Donna and William Manton.

Maggie was loved by many and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A Celebration of Life will be held at sunrise at Jacksonville Beach, her favorite place and time of day, on March 8, 2025, followed by a reception from 10 AM-2 PM at the American Legion Post 129 in Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, guests are invited to donate to Maggie's GoFundMe account (http://spot.fund/zllzc9xsx) to cover her final expenses, with any excess funds to be donated to The Alzheimer's Association.
