Sad to hear this. Mrs. Hicks was my kindergarten teacher in 1989 at Jefferson. She was always my favorite teacher. She was the only teacher I ever had that I would check in on while I grew up in Shelby. My parents would see her from time to time and would say she asked about me. It always blew my mind that she remembered me after all the kids she looked after through the years. Mrs. Hicks will surely be missed.

I was so saddened to learn about your mother. I loved her and will miss coming to bring my Sophie to see her. She was special to me and such a special lady to all who knew her. I hope you will call me to take a few minutes sometime in the near future to reminisce about her and your daddy to me. She spoke so sweetly about you. I know your are grieving both their passing. I am not going to be able to make it to the funeral to see you much my loss. I will be there in spirit. Love to both of you!

Elizabeth anf family, my prayers and thoughts are with all you in Margaret's passing. Your mom was so special and I always enjoyed anytime I had a conversation with her. I shall never forget the prayer shawl she brought to Bruce and I during his illness. It meant so much to both of us...as a matter-of-fact it still hangs on the chair at my computer, and I think of her often. Keep the memories close to your heart. Our Lord provides His presence during our time of grief.

Our daughter was fortunate to have Mrs. Hicks as her kindergarten teacher many years ago. Every time we saw her in the years since then, she always asked about Jennifer and how she was. What a special person she was to our daughter and to to her parents. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family as they deal with the loss of this caring lady.
