KRAMER, MARGARET CLIPPINGER - of Knoxville, daughter of the late Charles F. and Ruth Jones Clippinger of Atlanta, died Friday, February 3, 2006. Mrs. Kramer was active in many charitable and civic organizations including: being an active member of Church Street United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women Circle No. 4, a member and former President of the University of Tennessee Hospital Auxiliary, member and former President of the Friday Book Club, member and former President of the Knoxville Bar Auxiliary, and a member of the Lakemoor Hills Garden Club. Mrs. Kramer grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Maryville College where she met her husband whom she adored, Jackson C. Kramer, a long-time Knoxville attorney who preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by: her sister and brother-in-law, Jane C. and James Lockwood; brother-in-law, R. Arnold Kramer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank A. and Ruth L. Kramer. She is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Ann Kramer and Stewart Aitchison of Flagstaff, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda K. and Douglas R. McVadon of Charlotte, North Carolina; and son and daughter-in-law, Jackson G. and Elizabeth J. Kramer of Knoxville; grandchildren, Kate Aitchison, Meredith McVadon, Carlisle Kramer, Margaret Gray Kramer, and Jackson Kramer; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Emma Jane Kramer White and Lyman White of Northridge, California; sister-in-law Sara H. Kramer of Knoxville; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy F. and Sara Jo Kramer of Vonore, Tennessee, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kramer was deeply devoted to her family, all of whom loved her dearly and all of whom join in the celebration of her life. The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday at Church Street United Methodist Church followed at 1:00 p.m. by the funeral service with Rev. William J. Fowler, Rev. Cabel W. Trent, and Rev. Jan Buxton-Wade officiating. Family and friends will meet at 4:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville for a service of interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jackson C. and Margaret C. Kramer Memorial Fund, Church Street United Methodist Church, 900 Henley St., Knoxville, TN 37902. To the Kramer family: I thoroughly enjoyed the time I was able to spend with Mrs. Kramer. It was a pleasure getting to meet the family and hear so many exciting stories about Mrs. Kramer. I feel privelaged to have met Margaret she was such a lovely woman. My prayers are with the family and friends who lost such a wonderful person.

Mom Kramer was a lady who filled our lives with grace. She was true to herself, strong and sweet with a twinkle in her eye. I'm lucky to have lived next door. My heart goes out to Jay, Melinda, Ann, and the rest of their loving family.
