The Barstow family recently learned of the passing of Peggy and extend our sincere sympathy to her family.

Peggy was maid of honor in my parent's (Neal & Dottie Barstow)
wedding in 1946 and was able to join us in 1996 in Indiana to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
We have many happy memories of times spent with Peggy throughout the years.
Peace be to your hearts, dear one.

Easter seemed to be our special holiday. Family breakfast was the highlight every year, where Meme never failed to amaze us all by putting away a giant Belgian waffle with strawberries. She even made me a dress for the occasion one year! I know that she cherished this Easter at Eileen’s, and that she wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

Meme believed in the good news and promise of Easter, and so I believe that we will see her again. Until then, she will be greatly missed. Safe home, Meme!

My sister says it best. While her passing was not unexpected, I truely believed that most of us grandchildren thought of her as virtually indestructable. The woman was a stone in a river. In good health till she was 80, and still able to have an outing at Hi-LI and her favorite beverage (or two) on her 87th birthday reminds me how I wish for all of us to meet our fate.

I would only add that Peg was a proud Irish woman, and in true Irish tradition I ask that you not mourn her loss but celebrate the life she had, and the peace she now feels.

I received a phonecall this morning from Ms. Felix regarding Margaret's death. Please know of my prayers for the entire family during this time of sorrow. While I cannot attend the funeral on Monday, I have a funeral here at 10.00 am, know that in spirit and faith I will share my hope and trust in the treasure of Christ's Easter hope. Margaret loved words and I know that "The Word", the gift of the Father's love in Jesus will be her joy forever.

My meme was a wonderful woman, who also loved to read and do crossword puzzles. We as a family are relieved that she is in a much better place now and not suffering anymore. We are saddened by our loss but are relying on our strength as a family to work through this difficult time. She was loved by many and will be a beautiful angel. I loved her very much and so didn't her first great grandson, my son Nicolas. I miss you Meme.
