Margaret McConaghy Obituary

Margaret 'Peggy' Helen McConaghy, 99, passed away peacefully in Keizer, Ore. She was the first of four children born to Frank Elmer Weld and Frances Madge (Hogle) Weld in Pontiac, Mich. She was a caring mother and spouse as well as a talented artist and follower of Jesus and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jim McConaghy; brothers, David Weld and Elmer "John" Weld; and sister, Nell (Weld) Danielson. She is survived by sons, Mike (Sue) McConaghy of Plato, Mo., and Rich (Irene) McConaghy of Beaverton, Ore.; grandchildren, Heather, Meredith, Shawn, Erin (Jerome) and Kellen; great-grandchild, Jonathan; sisters-in-law, Martha McCallum and Maureen McConaghy; as well many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Margaret will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at the Salem Alliance Church. Friends and family are welcome to join us and may get more details and view the full obituary by visiting Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service online.
