Margaret Harding Meek

Margaret H. Meek Beloved Wife  and Mother  Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2004 with her loving husband of 52 years at her bedside. Devoted and loyal wife of Dr. Glenn P. Meek, beloved mother of Diane (Jedd) Bennett, Robert (Carrie) Meek, David (Brenda) Meek, Brent (Brooke) Meek, Julie (Phil) Taylor, and Bruce (Cynthia) Meek, grandmother to 26, great-grandmother to four, and dear sisters of Anna, Norma, Dewayne, Carol, Blake and Spencer, her charity and kindness were felt by all with whom she came in contact. Born June 29, 1931 in Fairview, Idaho to Alonzo and Rue Larsen Harding. From an early age Margaret loved music, excelling especially in vocals. During her high school years in Preston, Idaho she was active in the school theatre and played leading roles in several productions, which served as a platform for a life of dedicated music and voice study. Her clear, beautiful operatic soprano voice was enjoyed by literally thousands of rapt listeners in both religious and social settings, and her beauty and warmth flowed forth during her presentations. Margaret and Glenn resided in Calabasas Park, California for 25 years before retiring to Utah in 1984. Her beautiful countenance is missed by her family but we rejoice in the assurance of an eventual reunion. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, where family and friends may call from 1-2:45 p.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
