To the family of Mrs. Rood my sincere condolences. I was just speaking to my Mother several days ago about the best teacher & one of my favorites throughout the years of my education - Mrs. Rood.. I had your Mother, sister, grandmother as a teacher in both 2nd & 3rd grades. She was an inspiration, kind & caring. She had a way of making me feel special & important with little jobs around the classroom. She made classroom learning so interesting & fun. Even at a young age she inspired me to further my education with a teaching degree of my own & a doctorate degree in O.T. I still can remember several words she taught us to speak in French :) Sending my heartfelt prayers.

My condolences to the Rood family in the passing of your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, and to Margaret's friends and extended family.

I met Mrs. Rood only once or twice but worked for her husband, Carl, at the Whitehall A & W back in summer, 1967. I remember Brian from back then too. He'd come to work with his dad.

My heart goes out to you all in your loss. May precious memories comfort and keep you.

Mrs. Rood was my 3rd grade teacher at Churchill Henry. I loved going to school because of her!!! The pledge of allegiance every day and singing I am proud to be an American are still vivid in my memories of her.....Rest in Peace Mrs. Rood, one of the best teachers of my lifetime.
