Miss you more and more everyday! We hope you enjoyed YOUR FLOWERS today!!

I just found out about Marge today. My sympathy and prayers go out to all her family members. I first met Marge and her Mom when she drove the bus for my kindergartners at Central Road School in Rolling Meadows. At Christmas, she was Santa, paying the class a visit. In the spring she was the Easter Bunny. She even attended our recital at the end of the school year. She was one amazing woman. We continued to stay in touch through the exchange of cards at Christmas. She will truly be missed and remembered by many.

I didn't know her personally but was moved by her life story. She did so much for autism and all those special needs kids she drove the school bus for. We designated Margaret Simons an Autism Light posthumously. http://autism-light.blogspot.com/2011/09/margaret-simons.html. I was trying to get permission to put the pictures that were in the news article on my blog. If someone in family reads this and can approve email me at [email protected]. Thanks.

To Marge's Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We met Marge when she drove the bus for our son in CCSD#15. She was such a wonderful person and she brought joy to the children that she drove. We have a picture of her with our son when she was dressed as the Easter Bunny. She wll always be remembered in our hearts.

To Marge's Family,
Our hearts are heavy these days. My you find solice in knowing she was a wonderful human being and a phenominal caregiver to both her mother and Ralphie. And also to the children that rode her bus for Kirk School. Our son Jonny Burger was one of them. She was a mentor to us and a teacher of advocacy. She would always say to me "We have to be the voice for our kids because they can't talk for themselves" We will miss your smile Marge.
Love and prayers to the family,

I am going to miss you so much, Grandma. You really don't know what you've got until it's gone. But I promise I will keep up your legacy. I will tell my children what an amazing person you were, and I was so blessed to get to have you for 22 years of my life. I know I can carry you with me for all of my life, and I will. I love you so much. I'm sorry I didn't tell you as often as I should have. That doesn't make it any less true. <3

Marge, we only drove together for a few years, but you were one of the sweetest people with always a kind word for a new driver. I will miss you. Together in heaven Marge and Mom. Fondly

Marge and her Mother were both incredibly selfless people. Always putting the wants and needs of others above their own. Always smiling and trying to bring a smile to your face regardless of what life threw at them. They will both be dearly missed.
