MARGARET M. STURGE

STURGE, Margaret M. 78 years, in Westborough on August 11, 2016. Predeceased by her husband Roland J. Sturge Jr. of Marshfield MA, and her son John M. Wiswell of Weymouth MA. Survived by her brother Hon. David McLaughlin of New Bedford MA, and her sister Elaine Crowley of Boston MA, her son Daniel C. Wiswell of Westborough MA, and her daughter Laura Tangherlini of Moses Lake WA, and her five grandchildren Lorenzo, Elizabeth, Brian, Emily, and Andrew. Survived also by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States and Ireland. Margaret was raised in Jamaica Plain, the eldest of three children of Daniel and Nora McLaughlin. She graduated from Arch Bishop Cushing Central High School in 1955. She was more than a grandmother to her grandchildren Lorenzo, Elizabeth, and Brian. Young women sought her advice concerning a wide variety of issues that ranged from esthetics to coping with life's hard lessons. She stood up for the disadvantaged and did not tolerate racism of any kind. Services private.
