Margaret Whitfield-Pickett

Margaret Whitfield-Pickett, 57, of Atlanta, GA, departed from earth on April 11, 2021. She was born in Monroe, LA on December 28, 1963 to Charlie Desselle and Martha Whitfield. Margaret was a hard-worker and had a passion for taking care of others. She worked for Milestone for 6 years taking care of kids with special needs and worked as a supervisor at the Atlanta International Airport. Margaret had a kind soul and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Lenita Brooks; her daughter-in-law, Bianca Pickett; her sister, Mary (Lawrence) Dawson; her brother, John (Evlia) Johnson; her brother, George (Beverly Jones) Whitfield; her brother, Calvin Powell; her twin brother, Charlie (Mary) Whitfield; her brother, Willie (Tamika) Whitfield, all of Rockford, Illinois; her sister, Jo Ann of Winnfield, LA; her sister, Charlene Desselle of California; her sister, Bessie Mae of Michigan; her brother, Lee Edward Desselle of Greenville, MS; her six grandchildren, Adonis Pickett, Adiah Pickett, Lejend Pickett, Amillian Picket, Jahmir Brooks, Jaylen Brooks, and Jahrell Brooks; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Martha Whitfield; her father, Charlie Desselle; her step-father, Eddie Curry; her brother, Ray Whitfield; her son, Justin Lamar Deshawn Pickett; and her grandson, Journey Pickett.
