Memorial Services for Margo Crumley Carter, age 53, will be scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, December 18 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Sanders officiating.

Ms. Carter, a resident of Morgan City, formerly of Bastrop, passed away, Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Some of most memorable years were spent teaching kindergarten at Emmanual Christian School in Morgan City. She was enthusiastically supportive of helping all the children in her family learn to read using the Abeka reading program. She was a member of New Life Tabernacle in Morgan City, she loved her Pastor, Rev. Terry Bunner, as well as her church family. She loved God, people, and her dog, Gypsy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Christine Finley Crumley, and John Lloyd Crumley, and two brothers, Hubert Crumley and Hebert Crumley.

She is survived by her fiancé, David Wilkerson; her two sisters, Irene Crumley Davis and Sharon Crumley Brown and husband Jerrold; one brother, James Wriska and wife Susan; four nieces, Cassie Crumley, Christina McKeigan, Brittany McKeigan and Amber Graves; three great nephews, Jonathan Michael Clark, Westin Cooper Watson and Bobby Doan; five great nieces, Olivia Grace Watson, Ella Claire Watson, Destiny, Suzanna, Ameila Vasquez, and Kacy Doan; lifelong friends, Kenny Carter, Sonya Blackwell, Tammy Buchanan, Tilla Wiggins, Penny Hatcher, Debbie Brown and Debra Hinson.

The family asks that no flowers be bought but rather donations be made to St Jude's Hospital, Ms. Carter's favorite charity.
