Margo C. Swan

MARGO C. SWAN Margo C. Swan, 75, died peacefully Saturday, November 24, 2018, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. Born May 16, 1943, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret O'Malley Domenick. Margo was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Swan, brother, James O'Malley, and sister, Linda Compton. Margo was a graduate of Dunmore High School. She continued her education at CMC School of Nursing, received her Bachelor's Degree from Wilkes College, and Master's Degree from The University of Scranton. She worked in and retired from the health care field. She was an active member of the Loyalville United Methodist Church. Although she did not have children, she treated and loved her nieces and grandson as her own. Her caring nature was felt not only by the patients she treated but by her friends and family, and everyone who knew her regarded her as a mentor. She lived everyday with the best intentions and wanted to bring out the best in everyone. When she wasn't on the phone with her lifelong friends, she enjoyed lively political discussions and was always interested in others' points of view. After moving to Leland, NC in 2015, she bonded with a very special group of "girls" who shared many outings and lots of laughter. She is survived by step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, Bolivia, NC. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
