Marguerite Brewer Obituary
Marguerite K. Brewer, 92, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clyde Heyward Brewer, her parents, John and Eugenia Krauss, and her brothers, John and Howard Krauss.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Brewer and Gary Brewer and his wife Claudia; her grandchildren, Nicole, Kevin, and Kelly; and her great-grandchildren, Blakely and Tatum.
Mrs. Brewer was a dedicated volunteer at the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit at Nash General Hospital where her smile, enthusiasm, and encouragement helped many in their recovery. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Rd. in Rocky Mount. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 433 South Winstead Ave. in Rocky Mount. Rev. Alice Johnson-Curl, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 3131 RDU Center Drive, Suite 100 Morrisville, NC 27560.

Gary and Bill very sorry to hear about your Mom, Mrs. Brewer was our Cub Scout leader when I was in Grammar School in Enfield. We were very fortunate to know her, the guidance we were given and appreciation to this day of those scouting experiences. Was very glad to have seen Mrs. Brewer a year or so ago in Rocky Mount where we caught up on many years that have gone by. Our thoughts prayers are out to you also would like to send my condolences from my Mom Maebelle Barkley and my sister Silva Barkley Elko as well.

To Ms. Brewer's family, My prayers go out to each of you. Ms. Brewer was a patient of ours and she was always so sweet and pleasant. She always brought us goodies at Christmas and a smile. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile and sweet face. God Bless.

Bill and Gary, I am so sorry to hear this. I am quite honestly in shock. Marguerite was so near and dear to my heart. She was like my second Mom and a Grandmother to my son. Praying that God will provide you with peace and comfort.
