Christopher Jones Obituary
He graduated from Perkiomen School and Rider College. Music was Chris's passion, beginning in high school playing with his brothers and friends. He expanded his musical talent to include playing the pedal steel guitar. Many local bands developed their unique sound with the inclusion of Chris and his pedal steel. Band members became lifelong friends. In addition, many knew and relied on Christopher for his chauffeuring services.
He is survived by wife Linda; brother Richard "Rook" Jones with wife Tess; sister in law JoAnn Jones; three nephews, one niece, and their extended families; he was predeceased by his brother John A. "Beau" Jones in 2010.
A celebration of Christopher's life with music will be announced in the Spring of 2023.

Chris was one of my first customers at my pedal steel guitar shop in Hamburg, PA. We remained in contact for over 25 years after I retired to Arizona. He was a great player and a really nice man. I am deeply saddened by his passing.

Our sincerest condolences to all of Chris's family and friends. Butch Jr played with Chris in Crazyheart....Butch Sr and Joanne and the girls, as Chris called them had many happy moments with Chris while being taken to the airport every year......you will be missed Chris......such a gentle kind soul you were.........Take comfort in remembering all the good times.........until we meet again Chris, may you rest in peace.........

Susan just sent me the bio from the newspaper. I'm so sorry to hear. Sherry and I are living in Colorado now. Time goes so fast, not so surprising, our old friends, and those people that we admired in showbiz are disappearing. I'll be 76 in March. Chris was a sweetheart All who knew him will be sad. Sherry just reminded me the time when Chris and Rick Leavy were playing at some fire hall on Susquehanna Street and he exhibited a level of energy that we thought would never end.
It's been a Long and winding Road, I trust you're OK. When you get a chance touch base with us. In the meantime, our sympathies to you and your family.

My condolences to the family on your loss.
Needless to say I was shocked to hear of his passing. I knew Chris since we were kids. He never seemed to change. Always had a calming presence, looked the same, (always asked him his secret)and was a genuinely nice person.
We also had years together at Perkiomen and shared many a class reunion.
People with his disposition, talents and caring for his fellow human beings are rare qualities now a days.
He will be missed!

My deepest condolences to the Jones family. Chris ,you were always a great friend and classmate. I am so grateful for the times we spent together. We had a lot of fun at Perkiomen and the time we spent together operating machines. Thanks again for your driving skills to New York.You were so very helpful with information on my fathers service.
