To Our Family and Friends,

Thank you all for your kind words and the outpouring of love for our Mom is overwhelming. She was very special to us, and it means so much to know how special she was to so many people.
Gianna speaks for our entire family in a special post on her Facebook page after Mimi's passing. (Sitting beside a loved one who has lived for over ninety years and watching them through their final days is an experience that is as humbling as it is bittersweet. We are filled with both sadness and gratitude as we say our goodbyes to Mimi today. Her sense of humor, kindness and feistiness have left an indelible mark on those who knew her-family, friends, and even the nurses who helped care for her. While her absence leaves a void, we take comfort in knowing she's no longer in pain.

When we think of her there are several qualities that come to mind. Commitment, Strength, Outgoing and Loving. Marie and Dick celebrated their 69th anniversary just before he passed in 2021. Our Dad adored her always even though he suffered with Dementia. It never stopped him from showing his love for her. We couldn't begin to count how many times she became very ill, and we were advised to prepare for the worst. She always amazed us how she would bounce back in her 80's and 90's. It was truly amazing. Mom was always so fun loving. She was always ready for anything in a moment´s notice. We were never surprised to see her dancing with strangers on a family cruise or somehow find a microphone in her hand, ready to sing or tell a story. She was not at all shy, ever! It was one of the many things we loved about her. Mom enjoyed hearing from her family and friends on her portal, it was great for her to see who she was speaking to, and they could see her. That brought her so much joy.  Our Mom was loved by so many. She was blessed to have a long happy fulfilled life. She was Mom, Weez, Mimi, Aunt Marie and her caregivers called her Grandma.

We would like to thank Mom and Dad for so many things. Mostly want stands out for us was their love and commitment to each other and the bond they had with each other and us. We will continue to value this bond has we pass it on to our children and grandchildren. It was their way of instilling in us the importance family.
