I am very sorry to hear of Maria's passing. She was a very strong lady and always ready to help on dinoflagellate taxonomic questions. I especially enjoyed being on the same plane on the way back from the Harmful Algae meeting in Tasmania, around 2000.

Dr. Maria Faust was was a wonderful women, full of strength and goodness. She was our dear friend and we will miss her very much. Our deepest sympathies are with her daughter Judit, her husband Tom and their two sons, Evan and Daniel.
