My deepest condolences to Maria-Lynn's family. I just found out about her passing because I was going to touch base with her again. We were extremely good friends at Carleton University and went on many ski trips together when I ran the ski club there, which she was my ski buddy for. We went to university ski club parties, danced and had so much fun together. I can still see her with her ski headband on, which was very similar to mine, making us a pair of giggling bookends back then. The last time I saw Maria Lynn she had come to Ottawa to visit. She had stopped in at Carleton to pick up tiny university logo sweatshirts for her very young children, who she clearly adored. We got together for a long time during that visit and shared many laughs even then. I had no idea Maria Lynn had moved to Calgary and we also moved to Calgary in 1997. We have been here since then and I would have loved to have spent time with Maria Lynn had I known. I thought she was still in Prince Albert and we were planning to one day drive there to visit her. This is such a huge loss of a beautiful, sweet, positive and joyful friend. I am so saddened. My heart goes out to her children, parents and husband who I know must still be devastated by the loss of such a wonderful, sweet person.

I was so saddened to hear of Maria Lynn's passing and my deepest sympathies to Victoria, Amanda, and Nicholas. I had the privilege of working with your mom at Mills, Wilcox, and Zuk in Prince Albert. She was wonderful to work with and such a great and caring mom. I will forever treasure her in my heart.

To the Freeland/Krishan family -- so sorry to hear of Maria Lynn's passing. Although we had not stayed in touch after she moved to Alberta, I thought of her often, usually remembering some good advice she had given to me over the years. We shared experiences as working moms, as councillors, and as mid-life grad students. We joked that we would be standing in our walkers together when the city finally got around to putting our names on street signs. She was a beautiful, spirited person who will continue to be thought of often.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of an accomplished gal....Lynn and I were "Jobie sisters" during our teen years (Job's Daughters) and spent many happy hours together in service to the community of Prince Albert. Since that time, she went on to have a family and accomplish the many goals she set for herself. She will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of (as I knew her) Lynn's passing. We were colleagues at Saskatchewan Youth Parliament. I remember her as bright and energetic, a true trailblazer.

I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your loved one and my deepest condolences are extended to you. Something that's helped me through the death of loved ones is to reflect on 1 Corinthians 15:26.
