Maria Yvette Petty (Hostetler), aged 43, passed away on July 23, 2024, in St. Louis, MO. Born on March 26, 1981, Maria was known for her vibrant personality, embodying qualities of being fun, loving, devoted, and the undeniable life of the party. Her presence was a force of nature, marked by her passionate, goofy, sassy, and kind-hearted spirit.

Maria's hobbies and interests painted a colorful tapestry of her life. She had a profound love for her dogs- Simon, Dobbie, and Nola, a true passion for art, and loved building Legos. She was an avid Jeep enthusiast, a dedicated Star Wars fan, and adored the music of Prince, which often served as a backdrop to many of her life's special moments.

She leaves behind a loving family: her husband Aaron Petty; son Mason Tenkku; grandson Ezra Tenkku; father Michael Hostetler; brothers Michael Hostetler Jr. and Anthony Hostetler; and sister Dori Torrey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Hostetler (Wayne).

A service to celebrate Maria's life will be held on Sunday, August 11th starting at 1 PM at F.I.R.E (Fire Institute For Racial Equality), located at 1020 N. Taylor Ave, St Louis, MO. 63113. Maria's joyful spirit and loving memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
