Maria Pirrone

PIRRONE, Maria (nee Stabile) Passed away peacefully on February 3, 2008 with her loving family by her side at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Santo (1965). Loving mother of Sebastian (Sam) and wife Catherine, Maria and husband Vince Balsamo. Dear nonna to Santino Pirrone and wife Lori, Vito Pirrone and fiancee Lesley, Frank Pirrone, Antonietta (Balsamo) and husband Davide Perri, Joe and Anthony Balsamo. Dearest Bis-Nonna to Bianca and Josephine Pirrone. Predeceased by her two brothers Felice and Ignazio Stabile and her sister Gaetana Coraci all from Sicily. Dear sister of the late Caterina Leale (2004) and husband Frank and Giuseppe Stabile and wife Maria all from New York. Dear sister- in- law of Maria Pirrone and her late husband Giuseppe (1979) and Finalba Pirrone and her late husband Gaetano (1966). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy, New York and Windsor. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday February 6, 2008 at the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. with prayers at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday February 7, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Angela Merici Church or the Charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Maria in the Janisse Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 28, 2008. All are welcome.
