We had a beautiful Catholic funeral mass and Interment for my mom. She is in heaven with my Dad. Mom is in the Grace of God. My mom will be in my heart and memories forever.

What a Joy she was to know. Didn´t have the opportunity to know her until 15 years ago but I am eternally grateful. She was a real "gamer" and loved to win! She also loved my Banana bread and I tried to send her some when Maria was going to Chino. She was a lovely lady privileged to have known her. Now you know the "secret."

Liz, Maria and Martha
first of all our condolences on the passing of your mother.
In 2003, almost 20 years ago, we visited Aunt Mien, we arrived on May 30th on her eightieth birthday. We will keep precious memories of that visit!
From that time on, we always follow your family via Facebook.
We know that she has been able to enjoy life to the full until old age. Partly because of the good care from you and Maria, and I think Roger and Liz in particular, have given her.
I'm sure she enjoyed the holydays with you on your farm and with Maria in Hawaii.
Indeed, 101 years that is very old, she has lived a very eventful and sometimes difficult life.
She told me about the struggle for live the first years in America.
The concern about her daughters, much later her fight against breast cancer
and the death of uncle Theo.
But also about the love and care she received from her daughters, sons in law and her husband in good times and certainly in bad times.
So it is a blessing that she passed away peacefully and without a debilitating illness.
We wish you and your family lot of strength to deal with this heavy loss.
We love you. God´s blessing to all of you .
Marlies and Jo

I have many wonderful memories of the time I shared with Mom. I will always remember how much she loved spending time with me and my friends in Kailua.

Liz, Maria and Martha.

At this very moment your mother- Maria Vuist is chatting with all her heroes n Heaven..
She is telling them ineluctable energy of her daughters Liz, Maria, and Martha.
all keeping her well, happy and entertained for 101 years.

From Quantico a few thoughts to share:
Maria Vuist not a movie star but everyone loved her....
After Mrs Vuist passed my memory kept reflecting on a moment my early life. Like to share a long ago story as it is still appropriate today.
At age ten ......experienced the first death in my family... my grandfather died, ... we were very close ... it was devastating .... still remember the funeral parlor ...... how cold cold my grandfather's hands were. That night, after the cemetery, my grandmother took me to a window in her small Chicago apartment and said.

Patrick look up at the stars ..... those stars in the sky are really holes in the sky, where people that we have lost are there looking out for us ..... and watching over us.
One of those stars ..... one of the brighter ones is your grandfather and he's looking out for you and me.

Patrick remember that .... and Patrick ...never... disappoint him ...never

Liz, Maria, and Martha your mom is up there in the Cucamonga Sky ..... She is one of the brightest stars. oooo The Mother is still looking out for you and all of us

Remember ..... let us .... never .... NEVER let her down
