I knew your mom just briefly, but I want to take this opportunity to say how much your dad meant to me, years ago. He was my 'boss' when I was in high school and college and worked for years at Caplan's Market in Wallingford. He was so important to me as a mentor, a great example, and a joyful friend. I think of those days often. I remember his children as well, especially on the Caplan picnic days. Grace and peace. Bob Westervelt, Fairfield, CT.

My memories of Mrs. A. training me in the store are with me every single day. Every time someone hands me cash, I've got to turn it all the same direction, and I cringe when the grocery store bagger can't seem to properly pack things the "Mrs. A Way". She was a beautiful neighbor and wonderful lady who will be sorely missed.
