Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 15, 2010.

MARIANNE LOUISE PERDUE (NÉE SAUNDERS) On Febr uary 11, 2010, Marianne Louise Perdue née Saunders peacefully passed away in her home. Her daughter Meg was with her. Born in Winnipeg, April 14, 1928, Sandy Saunders graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1949. A prairie girl at heart, Marianne lived in many places across the country: Calgary, Toronto, Winnipeg, Burlington and Vancouver, and always made friends wherever she lived. Among the many people who love Marianne are her three daughters: Marilyn, Meg, and Anne, and their partners Brian, Vince, and Julie; her grandchildren: Pa trick, Matthew, Michelle, Daniel, Sarah and Anne, and friends tall Paul, Rani and Nicole. Marianne deeply loved her brother Ray, sister-in-law Marg, and her nephews and nieces: Kurt, Laura, Mike and Margie. Marianne was famous for being a walking dictionary, making the world's best pumpkin pies, Christmas stockings and toques, and for quietly providing unwavering support to those she loved. The family would like to thank and celebrate the many people who provided Marianne with care and friendship over the past few years: Wilbour, Angela, Debbie, Annie, Deb, Lynn, Leighann, John V., Denise and John Albrecht. A gathering in her honour will be held at the Zucc's at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, followed by an open house in celebration of all the many things she loved: crosswords, Latin, playing the piano, reading, her garden, knitting, music, her grand dogs, dark chocolate, Oh Henry!, hot dogs and sauerkraut, football, swimming, and jujubes. All family and friends of the family are invited to join in cherishing Marianne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.cancer.ca or www.friends.ca/Support
