Marie Burt

Cincnnati - With profound sadness we announce the passing of Marie Burt, our loving and devoted mother on December 14, 2023 while surrounded by her family, at age 93.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Nora Ashton, her brother, Joseph Ashton and sister, June Galin and her devoted husband of 38 years, David Burt.

Marie is survived by children: Brenda Larson (Kevin), Jeff Burt (Debbie), Carolyn Schweikert (Rick). Her Grandchildren: David (Nicole), EJ, (Madisyn), Kaitlin (Nick), Ashton, Stefanie, Sarah, Megan and Maddie. And her Great Grandchildren: Brynleigh, Lucas, Sadie, Roman, Clare, Vivianne, Miles and Cormac. Marie is also survived by her sister, Jeanette Barks (Kenneth) and dear nieces and nephews.

Marie lived a full life as a wonderful wife and mother. She supported her husband David's career at Kroger and children's educations while becoming a 'relocation expert' through many moves from her first home in Michigan, to Tennessee then to Ohio, her final home for the past 40 years.

Marie loved spending time with her many friends and family. She loved bowling and golfing at Kenwood Country Club. She also enjoyed playing cards, being outdoors, movies, dining out and wintering in Naples, Florida with her family.

While Alzheimer's may have stolen her from us, it did not beat her because she never stopped fighting. No matter what, she was always determined. While anyone else would have broken, Mom stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in her.

Above all Marie loved her family, they were the center of her universe. Her days were built with and around them. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
