Marie M. Duval 91, died at 12:45 a.m. September 8, 2009, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born October 17, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois to Salvadore and Mamie Lamantia Lamantia, who preceded her in death. On August 23, 1947, she married Raymond E. Duval, who died April 28, 1990. Mrs. Duval was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Lima, and its Rosary Altar Society, the ladies choir, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Senior Citizens and CIAO Auxiliary. She was a longtime volunteer at St. Vincent Soup Kitchen and McClain Road Soup Kitchen and a member of the Red Hatters. Survivors include three sons, James (Barbara) Duval, of Lima, Ohio, Robert (Katie Paige) Duval, of Elida, Ohio, and Ronald (Beth) Duval, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; two daughters, Theresa (Ronald) Risser, of Anna, Ohio, and Alice (John) Paradore, of Elida, Ohio; a brother, Richard Lamantia, of Dayton, Ohio; four sisters, Josephine Cianciolo, of Sidney, Ohio, Helen Gulker, of Troy, Ohio, Roseann (Dave) Sprague, of Dayton, Ohio, and Virginia Raymond, of Lima, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Risser, Andrea (Jim) Fuchs, Benjamin (Mikell Coleman) Duval, Nicole (Adam) Hess, Scott Paradore, Shawn (Krysti Palmer) Paradore, Elizabeth Duval, Christopher Duval, Ryan Duval, and Krista (Paul Pomcho) Duval; and two great-granddaughters, Sophie Fuchs and Lucy Risser. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent �Red� Lamantia and the Rev. Robert Lamantia; two sisters-in-laws, Vera and Pauline Lamantia; and three brothers-in-law, Bud Cianciolo, Vic Gulker and DeWayne Raymond. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, Lima. The Rev. David Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita�s Hospice, 959 W.
