Claire and Remi Rouleau
June 25, 2008
Our sincere sympathy Anne-Marie, Margo, André, Clement, Denise, Jacques, Cécile, Emile, Françoise, Juliette, Raoul, Jean and Etienne and spouses. We share your sadness, but we are happy for your Mother, "son tour est faite." as my mother would say.
There are moments in life that stand out and become happy memories. One of those moments for me (Claire) is of your mother. When I was young and would go to your home with Margo, I always thought your mother did not see me and if she did, did not know who I was. Years later, Remi and I were on our way to visit Mr. Rouleau in the hospital (in Edmonton), and met your mother in the hallway (your father was also in the hospital). She looked at me and said "C'est Claire!" walked towards me with opened arms and gave me a big warm hug. What a lovely feeling that was. I was surprised that she recognized me as I had not seen her for a number of years. That's when I realized that she did know who I was, but she was always so busy at that time of her life, she simply didn't have time to acknowledge me. It was such a perfect moment, an unforgetable moment of shared love.
I can still feel that warm hug and always will.
