My grandmother " nanny Ree " aka " the waterworks " & "the spring" was the best cook, clumsy, a worriwart, great with hair and nails, emotional, super organized, funny, vibrant and protective, but what supercedes all of this is the insane amount of love and warmth radiating around her whenever I was in her presence. She had a gift of making people feel loved and truly caring for them. Her adoration knew no bounds and she´d give her all to those she loved, never giving up on them. She could cry at the drop of a hat if she saw a sad commercial, movie, etc or whenever I sang, wrote a poem, even at my mere existence as a baby on the potty lol. Her sensitivity and ability to feel her emotions is something that has helped and validated me so much in life as a fellow sensitive soul. She´d always tell me it´s okay to cry & it means we have a heart. Some of my best memories with her include her Sunday dinners dancing to Sinatra in the kitchen, Christmas eves at her house, watching tv on the couch while she folded clothes & of course hanging out by the pool where I swam all day long into the nighttime. I will miss her forever but her memory and love will always be with me

Marie is loved dearly and will be missed. She loved to cook and her and my mother pulled off many holiday feasts together. She's finally reunited with Johnny and I am sure she is at peace.

Gumma Marie I will miss you dearly. You were not only my Godmother and my cousin. Memories of you will always be treasured. I´ll never forget coming to your house in Yonkers and visiting having dinner over on a Sunday and going in the pool! You are reunited with your son Johnny and all your family. Rest in the sweetest peace Gumma!
