MEILI _ Marie Rose (nee Vandell) September 19, 1936 - January 1, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Marie Rose Meili. After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away in Calgary on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Marie is survived by her loving husband John Meili, to whom she was married for fifty-three years; her beloved son Dale; two wonderful daughters, Dianne (Rick) and Debbie (Bob); and three loving grandchildren, Jenessa Marie, Landen and Jole. Marie was born in Gunn, AB on September 19, 1936. She resided in Calgary for the remaining fifty-five years of her life and raised her family here. Marie was known as an excellent cook and a baker and provided meals for many memorable family gatherings. She also enjoyed regular walks in Fish Creek Park. "Walk on Marie, walk on."
