In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To a friend that was like a mother to me and will never be forgotten. I will always keep you in my prayers and thoughts. I enjoyed being your co-worker and "partner in crime" like we used to call each other. You always gave good advise and cared so much for the children and their well being. You always said your family was your pride and joy and I never doubted that. Your family is a great family, worthy of admiration. I will pray for you and will always keep you in my heart. With much love,

She was the nicest woman and showed me love and support when DeeDee was born and I wouldnt have chosen anyone else to be godmother to my daughter. I will always love her for that.
