Mr. And Mrs. Johnson were honored guests with Mr. Johnson marrying my husband and I. They came all the way from Front Royal to DC staying over night to be there for the rehearsal, dinner and wedding. She will be missed.

Marienne´s fun-loving energy and generous spirit were contagious! I was an adult before I began to understand something about the profound challenges she overcame. To me, she was a fun aunt who took us to King´s Dominion and embroidered an incredibly detailed miniature oriental carpet for my dollhouse and had a sweet fiancee named Robbie who called her "Flower". I´m honored to have known her and to have her beautiful embroidery and quilts as keepsakes of a full and loving life!

Marianne was an amazing person. She overcame obstacles that many of us would have given up on. Her determination was a true testament to her faith, positive spirit and strong fortitude. She was a true role model. My prayers go out to Robbie ands her family. She loved you all and spoke of you often. Blessings and sympathy to all of you but especially to Robbie who has lost a very special and devoted wife.

Marienne as a child overcoming physical challenges.
The 4th of 8 of us sibs with very devote parents. Thank goodness because she needed strong guidance and encouragement to deal with the obstacles that she had. This is part of the photo book of her memories - the section on her childhood. She not only survived, she thrived. You can also read these stories on the autobiographical blog she wrote at this blog: http://beyondcp.blogspot.com.

Marianne made a beautiful quilt for me. I keep it on the loveseat in my living room.
She proudly displayed a quilt she made and gifted to her niece Jenny for her wedding. The following day she told me she loved the dress I wore at the wedding, so to her surprise, I gave her the dress. I will always remember her happiness.

She was a shining light in the world. Her creativity, her faith and her perseverance in over coming the challenges that came her way, speak volumes about her strength and inner spirit. Soar with the angels, Marienne. You are loved and missed!

-My earliest memory of my sister Marienne was just how tiny she was when she 1st came home having been born prematurely, and remember just how excited Judy, Joe. and I were upon her arrival.
-While she was still in the hospital we siblings all began calling her "the new baby", which we eventually shortened to "Baby " until she entered kindergarten when Papa put his foot down and said we all must now call her by her given name, Marienne.
-It was hard..but she was always special to us..our "Baby".....
