I will miss her wonderful letters. I have many fond memories of Mariette, who was my model of leadership. She was kind to me (and to everyone) during all the years we shared at Loyola. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

i will miss her laughter and her stories:lunches laced with vouvray and spiced with mustard, rather sum it up. she took an interest is us, the neices, nephew, and our families of her dear friend, sister and collegue, our aunt miggs. i knew mariette for my entire life, i looked forward to her visits, en route to either coast and beyond, with my aunt. visits to chicago were the ultimate. and mariette made sure that we were never lost, hungry, broke or bored. thanks for our times together, love, therese.

For those who grieve, let your memories soften the sadness.
I got to know Miss LeBlanc as a student, in casual as well as more formal moments. She was always fair and a class act. Thanks.

Within her small frame, Mariette carried an incredible history both personal and professional. We are proud to have shared some of those moments with her over many years. We will forever be thankful for her devotion and loving dedication to our Aunt Miggs, especially during our aunts illness. Mariette continued to be a "trooper" during her recent health struggles. Her strength and zest for life is an inspiration and another lesson learned. Her friendship always cherished.

Because of your close friendship with my Aunt Miggs (Margaret), I grew up knowing you. Your early trips to Toledo were spent at my parents house and I looked forward to your stories, french lessons (and tests) special recipes, summer back porch chats, making icecream from winters snow. Later in life, you made a significant impression on my children and you and I shared reading book series by specific authors. We still had some books to read, Mariette, and I miss you. You are with many people I love, and I know you are at peace. Keep the conversations going until we meet you there. Love, Debbie and Win and Sarah and Veronica and Michael

I am blessed to have known such a remarkable woman. Witty, bright and loving, Mariette touched the lives of those who met her with a sincerity that was unparalleled. While we know she is smiling upon us from heaven, her passing leaves an enormous void. Mariette, I pray that you have found the perfect 'neighborhood'. Catch you on the flip side. Love, Karen

What a wonderful woman! Mariette was my mentor and friend for 45 years. I cherished her wisdom, wit and love. She had a such an understanding of her role as an advocate for students and women on the Loyola campus. And then after retirement she was able to transition with such grace into a whole new life. How blessed we were by a friendship with Mariette LeBlance!
