Marilyn gave me a big break by publishing my essays when no one else would even read them. I'll never forget the fax cover sheet she used for Denver's own, dear Bloomsbury Review: WE DON'T CARE HOW THEY DO IT IN NEW YORK. She probably never fully realized the extent of her literary impact in Colorado. Many, many thanks, Marilyn and Tom.

To the Auer family, my condolences on Marilyn´s passing. What a splendid tribute to her, this obituary!
She was a year behind me at St. Francis, but I remember her better from when we lived in the same neighborhood for 13 years, in the 1990´s into the early 2000´s. We would exchange pleasantries in passing along what someone else called "the 12th Ave. mall", or waiting for the bus.
I admire her outstanding work with the Bloomsbury Review, and celebrate her accomplishments and strong family presence. May she dance in peace!

A beautiful life, beautifully told.

I knew Marilyn mostly because she was my classmate Tom Auer´s sister. Tom was a huge part of an underground newspaper at St, Francis; it was very controversial. I felt lucky to know someone who evoked such passion in the "right" thing. After Tom´s death I followed Marilyn on The Bloomsbury Review posts. I´m sorry Marilyn is gone but hopeful her family will keep her legacy alive. We all deserve to hear the truth.
