Marilyn Margaret Brennan

Marilyn Margaret Brennan, 81, a former resident of Waukegan, died in her sleep on November 21, 2018. She was born at Oak Park Hospital in Illinois on February 13, 1937, to Edward and Teckla Brennan. After her family moved to Waukegan, she graduated from Waukegan High School. After receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, she spent years working in Mansfield, Ohio, specializing in the field of drug and alcohol recovery. She then moved to New York City where she rekindled her love of acting and writing, studying at the prestigious HB Studios. Towards the end of her life, she retired to Santa Monica, California, to live near her daughter and where she was an active member of the senior acting group Mob Rules. She wrote several plays for the theatre, and her love of the arts also included, film, and literature. She was also an avid animal lover. She is survived by her daughter Heidi Brennan-Darby, her granddaughter Zaidee Brennan-Darby, her son-in-law Glenn Darby, her nieces Jeanne (John Segreti) Martinez, and Sandra Martinez, her great-niece Dania (Luke) Ryczek, great-nephews Giancarlo Segreti and Stefan Segreti, her great grand-niece Ava Jeanne Ryczek, and her two cats, Ozzie and Buddy.
