Marilyn Burg, age 69, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully in the home that she loved surrounded by her family and friends, on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. She was born March 31, 1942 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Maurice "Jerry" and Ann (Malhaupt) Howeth. Marilyn worked as an Account Specialist for the Gila Corporation in Austin, Texas. She worked for over 30 years in the Real Estate and Management Banking field. She was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown, where she thoroughly enjoyed singing in the Praise Choir. Her faith and sense of humor never left during her final days. Marilyn cherished every moment with her family and loved them dearly. Her family will miss her greatly, but will always carry her love. Surviving Marilyn is her daughter, Kathy Schmidt and husband Chris of Georgetown; daughter, Dee Harrington and husband Dave of Georgetown; son, Jeff Younger and wife Paula of Okeechobee, Florida; brother, Michael Howeth of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Westley Falcaro and husband Bob Gomez of Fort Wayne, Indiana; granddaughters, Rachelle Klotz, Caitlin Schmidt, Desi Harrington, Virginia Younger, Jessica Gonyea; grandsons, Cole Younger, Jason Gonyea; great grandsons, Dylan and Owen Bryant. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Pat Randall; and infant daughter, Karen Younger. A special thanks to the staff at St. David's Hospital Georgetown, The Georgetown Cancer Center and Odyssey Hospice. Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4010 Williams Drive Georgetown, TX 78628 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Ms. LaVerne Tonn, P.O. Box 407 Georgetown, TX 78627. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14th at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastors John Selle and Walt Pohland officiating.
