Marilyn A Gadbury

Long time Paradise, CA resident, Marilyn Gadbury, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2025, at the age of 90. Marilyn was born in Exeter, Ca and raised in Elderwood, attending school in Elderwood and Woodlake, CA. After attending College Of The Sequoias, Marilyn went on to work as a bookkeeper at Woodlake Hardware Store where she eventually met her husband, Gerald Gadbury, who was employed as a fire captain at the local CDF fire station. After they were married they moved to Redding, CA for a short time. They soon moved to Paradise, CA, where they settled down and raised a family. Marilyn was a homemaker who raised two children and was devoted to her family. Marilyn and her husband continued to live in Paradise for many years after retirement until eventually moving to Oklahoma to live closer to their daughter. Marilyn passed away in comfort surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, her parents, Jess Hoover and Myrtle Hoover of Woodlake, CA, and her brother, Rex Hoover, also of Woodlake. She is survived by her brother, Don Hoover of Fresno, CA. She is also survived by her son, Kenneth Gadbury and wife, Lisa, of Santa Rosa, CA and grandsons Patrick and Michael Gadbury as well as her daughter Susan Davis and husband, Gordon, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and grandchildren Adam, Eric, Noah, and Gracie Davis. Due to the move of the family to Oklahoma, no local services have been planned.
