Marilyn Gauthier Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 30, 2025.
Marilyn Gauthier (12/11/2950-3/16/2025) was born in Scottsdale, Arizona to HF and Mary Croom. Both Marilyn, and her older sister Janice, attended elementary, junior high and high school there in Scottsdale.

While attending ASU, Marilyn met the love of her life, her husband Ron.

After briefly traveling for military service, Marilyn and Ron moved back to Arizona. There they started a family and spent years hiking, camping, studying desert flora and traveling throughout the state they loved.

Marily loved God, loved her family and loved singing!

Known for her generous, generous heart, Marilyn modeled a life of smiling servitude. Gifting her time by helping to clean houses, offering taxi services to the airport, or even just grocery shopping, Marilyn gave of herself with an attitude of joy. This tangible joy is what others around her saw and valued enormously.

Marilyn has moved on, but she left family and many, many friends behind. These friends along with her son, much loved daughter-in-law and two adored grandsons are part of the wonderful legacy of Marilyn. We will all go forward missing her, but remembering the joy and generosity she personified.

I am so sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing! This is Karen Nell, her cousin, on her father's side, child of David, HF's younger brother. It was only weeks ago that I visited a Church of Christ in Gilbert and spoke with other members of the congregation regarding Marilyn and her strong, beautifully toned voice. I suppose now she is singing with the Angels on High and I look forward to seeing her there.

My prayers for her family.
